Several injuries and one death were caused by vehicle incidents over the weekend.

A Bartlesville man was hurt on Saturday after his motorcycle collided head-on with a Chevrolet Tahoe in Adair County, west of Westville. James Scherman, 66, was driving an AM Roadster eastbound on Chewey Road. Ollie Langston, 68, of Wagoner was driving his Tahoe eastbound. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Sherman drifted over the center line and struck the Tahoe. Langston was not injured, but Sherman was transported to the hospital with head injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.

Yesterday, a Stilwell woman was killed when her 2013 Dodge Charger hit a tree, the patrol reported. Briana Scraper, 24, Was southbound on US 59 south of Westville in fog when her car left the roadway to the left, struck a tree and careened down a 30-foot embankment, where it came to rest, the patrol reported. She was pronounced dead at the scene from internal and external injuries.

Also yesterday, a Kinta woman was hurt when she flipped her 1995 Toyota Celica just outside Kinta. Candace Yandell, 29, was westbound on State Highway 2 when she lost control for unknown reasons and the vehicle ran off the roadway, striking an embankment, rolling once and ejecting her, the patrol reported. She was transported to Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa with head, arm, leg and internal injuries. She was not wearing a seatbelt.

Finally, a boat explosion on Lake Tenkiller hurt an Arkansas man and a juvenile. Greg J. Bieker, 34, of Barling, Arkansas was trying to start his 1998 Tahoe Navigator at the Chicken Creek Park boat ramp when the engine compartment sparked and exploded, according to the patrol. Bieker suffered burn injuries to his back and leg and a juvenile passenger was burned on his hand and leg.
