Kimberly Baucom, mother of a nine-year-old boy who was bullied to the point that he received a concussion and a fractured vertebra, has now been charged with a misdemeanor of threatening to perform an act of violence after she allegedly threatened Pershing Elementary School Principal Meleah Hoskins.
Hoskins told campus police that someone identified only as Mrs. Barnes told her Baucom said “I’m going to get my kids and if she doesn’t have them ready, I’m kicking that fat bitch’s ass and I’ll pull that bitch bald-headed.”
Baucom, who spoke with MuskogeeNOW.com a week ago, said “they’re trying to say I was talking about pulling ‘that bitch bald-headed’ and ‘beat the fuck out of her,' but I don’t talk like that. I never said that.”
Baucom says she had received a phone call from her son saying his head felt like it was going to explode and he was having trouble walking after he was slammed into the wall, and she was begging the school to release him to her so she could get him medical attention.
Baucom’s husband says he asked the school for video of either incident — the bullying or his wife’s alleged outburst — and was told no video exists.
UPDATE: The arrest warrant has temporarily been withdrawn by the district attorney pending further investigation, DA Orvil Loge said just now.
“We think she should really just have to focus on her son and his health right now,” he said. Though the case is not dropped, she is currently not facing an arrest warrant.
