After being closed for numerous days due to flooding, US 62 between Muskogee and Tahlequah is reopened, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

As floodwaters recede, residents of Fort Gibson and surrounding areas are just getting back to assess the damage water has done to their property.

In other flooding news, Coody Creek Bridge is apparently caving in, and residents are warning other residents against driving over it on the east side of the water plant.
