A Checotah man and a McAlester woman were injured in a wreck Sunday just south of Muskogee, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Clarence Davis, 57, of Checotah and Patricia Easley, 51 of McAlester were the injured parties. Davis was transported to Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa in critical condition with head, internal and external trunk injuries. Easley was taken to the same hospital in stable condition with trunk internal injuries.
Davis’s vehicle was southbound on US 69 and tried to turn onto Oktaha Road. A second vehicle driven by Bryan Easley of McAlester, in which Patricia Easley was a passenger, was northbound on US 69. According to the patrol, Davis turned in front of Easley and the two collided, sending Davis’s vehicle into a third vehicle.
Davis was not wearing a seatbelt.
