Muskogee’s Historic Roxy Theater will continue a tradition started more than six decades ago, the annual spring showing of The Wizard of Oz.
That tradition began on the newly developed television sets and was broadcast into homes. Muskogee’s Historic Roxy Theater has migrated this tradition to the big screen and that traditional date this year happens to fall on the same day as Muskogee’s Azalea Parade, which started 62 years ago.
The $2 per person ticket price will make it an affordable outing and children six and under get to see the movie for free.
The movie starts at 4 p.m. Full concessions are available. The address is 220 West Okmulgee, doors will open at 3:30 p.m.
