After one allegedly drunk driver killed a man late last week, another, Eric Ryan Sheridan, 28, of Oktaha was arrested at 2:45 in the morning allegedly driving down the wrong way of US 69 and striking another vehicle, injuring its occupants. Ryan has previously been convicted of two DUIs.
Officers stated that they found a yellow sedan parked off the side of the roadway with rear driver’s side damage. A man standing beside the vehicle told officers that Sheridan had been driving and fled the scene to the east. Sheridan returned to the scene and officers observed him to have thick and slurred speech and an “obvious odor of alcoholic beverage.” Sheridan is reported to have told police he was leaving a strip club and had “just graduated alcohol rehab.” Sheridan allegedly failed a sobriety test.
His previous convictions were in 2014 and 2017.
