With 11,807 deaths from COVID-19, Oklahoma now holds a dubious record: more deaths than 70 Oklahoma City bombings.

The 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City killed 168 people and until 9/11 was listed as the worst terrorist attack on American soil.

Oklahoma reported 667 new COVID cases today, more than 2,000 over the weekend. The nation is reportedly experiencing a new surge of the disease, even though most places have relaxed their protocols against it, believing the worst to be over.

Last week, America reached the same total number of COVID cases as it did in all of 2020.
