Thomas McKinney, Lori Deeringwater, 36, Anthony Green, 44 and Charles Carpenter, 37, all of Muskogee were all hurt in a weekend drunk driving wreck in Cherokee County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

McKinney was driving a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country van while his driving ability was impaired by alcohol, the patrol reported, around 6:30 p.m. Saturday on Oklahoma Highway 82 two miles south of Tahlequah. He turned left in front of a 2009 Ford F-150 headed north, causing the truck to slam into the van.

McKinney, Deeringwater and Carpenter were all transported to area hospitals, Deeringwater and Carpenter by helicopter, where they were both admitted with head, internal, trunk and arm and leg injuries. McKinney was treated and released at Northeast Health System in Tahlequah.

The occupants of the Ford were treated and released as well.

No one in the van was wearing a seat belt.
