There was an officer-involved shooting at 32nd and Broadway just now, according to Muskogee Police Officer Lincoln Anderson.
One civilian was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Muskogee. The man was awake and talking when taken to the hospital. No police officers were injured in the exchange.
The man was lunging at the officer when he was shot, an eyewitness says. The shooting followed a foot chase, and the officer was yelling at the man to show his hands, but the man was not complying, according to the witness.
Another witness saw police kick a knife away from the man after the shooting.
