A Muskogee man is in jail tonight, but he’s happier than most in his situation.

Brandon Thompson, 34, who was being served warrants today, was brought outside by his mother from the residence. As police were cuffing him, he asked them if he could propose to his girlfriend.

The police said he could, and, handcuffs in front of him, he proposed, according to police.

His girlfriend said yes.
