Gavin Mier

Gavin Mier
On Jan. 24 of this year, Gavin Mier, 19, of Muskogee was one day past a continuance on his March 2016 rape case, where he is accused of raping a 15-year-old girl, robbing her and assaulting her. He was also charged with stealing his grandmother’s new car. While on bail, he was charged in June with grand larceny of a Bobcat ATV and a cellphone at G-Fest, later allegedly selling the phone to an eco ATM kiosk in Arrowhead Mall.

Later in June, he was charged with stealing a pickup truck from United Auto, leading the Oklahoma Highway Patrol on a chase that ended in Porter. He had been charged in 2009 as a juvenile with lewd molestation. Later, in 2011, he had been charged with kidnapping.

The victim in the rape case from last year filed a protective order in June 2016, saying he had continued trying to contact her after he was charged with raping and robbing her.

In June, District Attorney Orvil Loge filed a motion to strengthen the $100,000 bond that had let Mier out of jail while awaiting trial on his rape and assault charges. That request was denied.

Then, on Jan. 24 of this year, another 15-year-old said Mier raped her. The girl said he forced her to have sexual intercourse with him against her will on that date.

On Feb. 14 of this year, he is accused of raping a 16-year-old girl, then stealing her phone charger and earplugs before leaving the house in which he violated her.

He was arrested on Friday on trespassing complaints and is currently being held without bond in the Muskogee County Jail.
