Chad M. Williams, 20, of Muskogee, is charged in Muskogee County District Court with felony child endangerment by driving under the influence, driving under the influence, an intersection violation and violation of driver’s license restrictions, according to court documents.
Williams is alleged to have been driving drunk on the night of June 28 at the intersection of North 14th and Broadway, according to police. Around 9:41 p.m., he allegedly pulled out in front of another vehicle and caused a collision. Williams only had a learner’s permit at the time, not a driver’s license. According to police, he had a “strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and glassy eyes.” In addition, he could not stand steadily, according to the reporting officer, and displayed numerous cues indicating intoxication.
His passengers were ages 17, 16 and 14 at the time.
