Anthony McCurdy, 33, of Muskogee is charged in Muskogee County District Court with first-degree robbery, a felony, after an incident where he is alleged to have robbed a woman who gave him a ride.
The incident, which allegedly happened on March 31, occurred when Mandy Lynn Kettle gave McCurdy a ride, court documents allege. Kettle told police she picked McCurdy up around 1 p.m. at 2603 Oklahoma Avenue, and when they got to his destination, he allegedly threatened her with a firearm, took her purse and fled on foot. Kettle said there was $530 in the purse.
McCurdy has formerly been convicted of two felonies, Possession of a controlled substance in 2012 (for which he received five years in prison) and first-degree burglary in 2009, for which he received seven years in prison.
He is considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
