Two more Muskogee people have been charged in connection with the Jan. 6 insurrection at the US Capitol, according to federal court records. In addition to Andrew Ericson, son of former state Rep. Stuart Ericson — the first person in Oklahoma charged in the insurrection — electrician Anthony Alfred Griffth Sr., and his employee, Jerry Ryals, are charged with numerous federal crimes related to their alleged participation in the riot.
Ryals allegedly posted pictures of himself inside the Capitol building during the riot, and the federal government obtained photos of Griffith allegedly inside the building at the same time. In addition, FBI investigators say both men admitted being inside the building.
On a video posted to social media during the riot, a man alleged to be Ryals is heard saying, “We definitely have enough people to overthrow this bitch. They don’t stand a fucking chance. We got the fucking doors open up there I guess. We’re working our way in slowly but surely.”
Ryals also allegedly posted the following to social media:
Both men are facing trial in the United States District Court of District of Columbia, as is Ericson.
