Carl Lee Obert, 66, of Ochelata was critically injured after his motorcycle overturned on I40 just west of Webbers Falls last night, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Obert was westbound on the highway at 8 p.m. when he attempted to take the exit ramp onto northbound Muskogee Turnpike, the patrol reported. He lost control of his Honda 1500 motorcycle and flipped it a number of times. He was flown by helicopter to Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa in critical condition with head, arm, internal and leg injuries.

He was not wearing a helmet.
