Randall Lee Ridley, also known as Randel or Randal, is charged with three felonies and one misdemeanor in Muskogee County District Court after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend while leaving a three-year-old child in a hot car for 20 minutes.
According to an affidavit filed with the case, Ridley is accused of hitting his girlfriend in the face “multiple times, causing visible injuries” while she and a three-year-old child were in a vehicle with him. Police allege he drove the vehicle into a ditch and left the child in the car alone with the windows rolled up and the engine off for “at least 20 minutes.”
The case further alleges he set fire to the girlfriend’s clothing and the child’s clothing and threatened to burn both with a torch. Ridley was also charged with possessing a .410 shotgun after being formerly convicted of a felony.
He has previously been convicted of grand larceny, knowingly concealing stolen property, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, domestic abuse - assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, feloniously pointing a firearm and domestic assault and battery in the presence of a minor.
