Rocky J. Eslinger, 67, of Muskogee was convicted on Friday of second-degree burglary by a Muskogee County jury, which also recommended that he serve 25 years in prison for the crime. Second-degree burglary is when someone enters a property that isn’t theirs and isn’t occupied with the intent to steal something.
The judge, who will sentence Eslinger tomorrow, isn’t bound by the jury’s suggestion.
Eslinger was convicted of a 2017 burglary of a house at 1613 Boston in Muskogee.
He has a long string of similar convictions.
