The case count in Oklahoma for COVID-19 virus has jumped to 31 from 29 this morning. As a result, Muskogee has closed the following venues:

  • Muskogee Senior Center
  • Muskogee Swim and Fitness Center
  • Muskogee Teen Center
  • Love-Hatbox Sports Complex - closed until May 8.
  • Hatbox Event Center, closed until May 8

Parks and trails are still open to the public.

“We recommend park users avoid playground structures, swings and slides,” Mia Trout, Muskogee spokeswoman, said. “Please consider the distance of children to one another.”

Muskogee County Health Department has received some COVID-19 tests, as have some health providers, but those tests will be given on a very limited basis, depending on health department criteria.
