Fort Gibson police officer Jeremy Johnson has been on paid leave from the town’s police force since he was accused of domestic abuse. He has now been reinstated.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and Department of Humans Services conducted two separate investigations into the allegations, according to Johnson’s attorney. DHS found both claims to be “unsubstantiated.”
After receiving the OSBI report, the district attorney declined to file any charges in the allegations.
On Monday night the Fort Gibson town council voted to immediately reinstate Johnson.
