WARNING: This story contains sensitive details and adult situations.

Former Eddie Warrior Prison Deputy Warden Christopher Redeagle, 54, of Pawhuska is charged in Muskogee County District Court with two felonies: sexual battery and bringing two guns into a prison.

He is accused of “making out” with an inmate, who he also was allegedly later observed rubbing her body while she masturbated him through his clothing. Investigators say they found panties the inmate had worn “for a week” before giving them to Redeagle, who is alleged to have used them for “sniffing.”

He is also accused of writing several letters to her using a “remailing service” so the letters wouldn’t be traced back to him. He was found in possession of photos of the inmate. In addition, investigators found two unsecured guns in his vehicle, which he told them he “forgot” to secure them.

Engaging in any sexual relationship with an inmate is illegal for prison employees.

Redeagle had been a prison employee since 1994, according to DOC spokesman Matt Elliott. He resigned on April 3 of this year, after he was confronted with the allegations that led to the charges.
