Kenneth Marquise Garrett, 29, is charged with felony embezzlement in Muskogee County District Court after he is alleged to have stolen $7,000 worth of fuel from the Highway Patrol and put it into his own vehicle.
Garrett is also alleged to have used a state-issued PikePass in his personal vehicle. The fuel purchases were made in Muskogee County and Tulsa County, according to an affidavit filed with the case.
Garrett is accused of using “several credit cards” owned by the state between March of 2018 and June of 2019 to purchase the fuel for his personal vehicle. Several of the purchases were caught on surveillance cameras. According to the affidavit, Garrett admitted to investigators that he used the state-owned cards for his personal vehicle.
