Wilma Jean Gann, 85

Died Tuesday, October 6, 2020

Wilma Jean Gann, 85, formerly of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. She was born on April 22, 1935 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Sam and Viola (Taylor) Lane. She attended public school and graduated from Central High School of Muskogee, Oklahoma in 1954. She continued her education by receiving her associate degree in business administration.
Wilma married the love of her life, John Vernon Gann Jr., on November 29, 1958 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They shared 56 years of life and memories together.
She worked for Muskogee Public Schools and Southwestern Bell, retiring after many years of service.
Wilma and John loved traveling to bluegrass shows. She loved being outside with her flower gardens, walking and nature, and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren. She was a strong Christian, and her faith was an important part of how she lived her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Vernon Gann Jr.; mother, Sarah Viola Lane; father, Sam Lane; brothers, Ralph, John, Bobby, Roy, Berrill and sisters Wanda, Inez, and Ellen.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandy Neuzil and husband Stephen of Bixby, Oklahoma, Terry Coffey and husband Patrick of Edmond, Oklahoma; son, Gary Gann of Hardtner, KS; brother, Harley Lane and wife Maddie of Owasso, Oklahoma, sister, Anna Summers of Muskogee, Oklahoma; brother and sister in-law Bob and Betty Gann, grandchildren, Heath, Heather, Kolby, J.T., Addison, Sarah, and Chris; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Wilma’s life will be celebrated at 10am, Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Greenhill Cemetery with Rev. Bob Hancock officiating.
