Wanda Maxine Bradley, 98

Born Sunday, October 29, 1922

Died Friday, November 13, 2020

Wanda Maxine (Dye) Bradley passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK at the age of 98. She was born October 29,1922 to Robert Roy Dye and Pearl M. (West) Dye, the second of nine children on a farm East of Fort Gibson. She graduated from Fort Gibson High School with the class of 1942. She married Willard J. (Bill) Bradley in 1942 in Tahlequah, OK. Bill was a career soldier and she traveled to many countries overseas including Europe, four years in Germany, and Japan. Wanda retired from Federal Civil Service at Fort Ord, CA. She was a proud member of the Cherokee Nation and a long-time member of the Fort Gibson United Methodist Church.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill of 41 years, and a son Billy Bradley; brothers, John C. Dye, Robert Dye Jr., Billy Dye; and a sister, Rosa Lee James.
She is survived by two grandsons, Jeffery Bradley and Douglas Bradley and their mother Carol; four great grandchildren, three brothers, Gene Dye and wife Ruby of Muskogee, OK; Henry Dye of Fort Gibson, OK; and Charles Dye of Tulsa, OK; one sister, Ellen Logan of Muskogee, OK; many nieces, nephews and many friends.
Wanda’s family would like to thank Dr. Don Elgin, Dr. Gary Lambert, Laura (Sam) Gotcher, Eastgate Nursing Center, and St. Francis Hospital for her excellent care during her illness. Also, her dear friend, Maxine Trout whom she shared coffee and donuts most every morning over the years. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Viewing for Wanda will be 12PM-7PM Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson.
A graveside service is scheduled for 1PM Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery Pavilion with Reverend Donald Jones officiating. Masks are mandatory at the service.
