Born Saturday, December 7, 1946

Died Tuesday, July 26, 2022

Wanda Lue Griggs, 75, of Tahlequah, OK was born December 7, 1946, in Tahlequah, OK and peacefully passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at her home with her loving family by her side. She received her formal education in Tulsa, OK but lived most of her life in Tahlequah. Wanda met the love of her life, Wayne Griggs who preceded her in death. Wanda worked for Bryant Clothes Factory for 15 years then joined her husband at his car lot for several years. She went to work for Woodall School as a cook and retired in 2017 after 17 years of service. Wanda loved to travel anywhere and everywhere, it didn’t matter to her, she was just ready to go. She also loved to go out and eat with anyone at any time. Wanda was a mother to all and was always willing to fix you something to eat. She enjoyed sewing in her spare time. Wanda had a great sense of humor and a vibrant personality. Her request that all attendees of her service to be dressed in any color but black. No need to mourn, for I am with my Heavenly Father. She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Pam Miller and husband Gil of Fort Gibson, OK and Tina Jones and husband Jeff of Duncan, OK; her son, Ricky Griggs of Tahlequah, OK; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; extended family and many friends. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Griggs; her parents, Walter and Fannie Dick. A celebration of Wanda’s life will be 1PM Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Trinity Family Worship in Fort Gibson with her grandson, Pastor Daniel Miller officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Adam Miller, Aaron Miller, Brandon Stacy, Colton Gibson and Cody Griggs serving as casket bearers.
