Virginia Carol Savage-Bowlan, 74, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born on October 10, 1945 to Alva and Johnie (Jordan) Baker in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She was a high school graduate.
Virginia was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving with the youth and children for many years. She had much fun in life jumping out of airplanes and hot air ballooning. Virginia loved her family very much and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alva Edison Baker and Johnie Ethal (Jordan) Baker; and brother, Alva Lee Baker.
Virginia is survived by her sisters, Susie Parris and husband Jack of Muskogee, OK, and Linda Johnson and husband Jim of Muskogee, OK; children, Wes Savage and wife Shari of Muskogee, OK, G’Ann Scott and husband Kevin of Mill Creek, WA, and Steven Savage and wife Christie of Keefeton, OK; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Virginia’s life will be 10AM, Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Chris Emler officiating. Interment will follow at Citizen’s Cemetery with Parker Savage, Brandon Savage, Bill Parris, Steve Crary, Brandon Harris and Gavin West serving as pallbearers.
