Vera Dean Bowline, 74, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 after a prolonged illness (non COVID related). Vera was born November 27, 1945 in Sedalia, Missouri to Harry R and Esther L. (Denker) Eickhoff. Vera married Gary R. Bowline on May 8, 1964 in Cole Camp, Missouri.
Vera and Gary lived in Central Missouri until moving to Muskogee, Oklahoma with their children In August 1977. Vera and Gary worked together in the Cole Camp Locker before moving to Muskogee. During her career in Muskogee, Vera worked at Advance Linen (now Superior Linen), Anderson Wholesale, and Yates Auto Mall in Tahlequah. Vera finished her career working with her daughter at Bethany D. Bowline, CPA from October 2010 until her retirement in November 2015. Vera never retired from her work as a Cosmetic Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay. Being a beauty consultant was her favorite job!
Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Gary R. Bowline; her parents; one sister, Barbara Meyer and her husband, Roger Meyer; and son-in-law, Mark Shipley.
Vera is survived by her daughter, Bethany Bowline Shipley of Muskogee, Oklahoma; her son, Charles R. Bowline and wife Melanie Bowline of Las Vegas, NV; her seven grandchildren; Sydney Norton and her husband Christopher, Allyson Bowline, Megyn Bowline and Tyler Bowline, Emily Shipley, Brandon Shipley and his wife Amanda, Scott Wafford and his wife, Katrina; seven great-grandchildren; Christopher Norton, Jr., Isabelle, Karson and Harper Shipley; Chance, Emma and Miley Wafford; one brother, Ronald Eickhoff and wife Carolyn; sister-in-law, Darlys Cagle and husband Mark, sister-in-law, Vera Nadine Bowline; sister-in-law Karla Bowline Harleman; brother-in-law, Robert Bowline. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
Funeral service celebrating Vera’s life will be 2PM, Friday, December 4, 2020 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 428 E Broadway St, Muskogee with Pastor Wayne Schuett officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with Tyler Bowline, Troy Bowline, Brandon Shipley, Russell Meyer, Michael Meyer, and Jeff Meyer serving as pallbearers.
