Thelma Tompkins, 99

Born Friday, July 16, 1920

Died Sunday, August 4, 2019

Thelma L. Crisp born July 16, 1920 to Rollie and Egypsi Crawford Crisp in Grayson, Oklahoma. She attended Grayson High School where she also graduated.

She met and married Earl A. Tompkins (Doc) and to this union 12 children were born with two who preceded them in death. Her husband Earl Tompkins preceded her in death as well.

She leaves to cherish her memories 10 children, Jean (Horace) Stevenson, Elnora (O.T.) Dotson, Barbara Hastings, Herman (Michelle) Tompkins all of Okla. City, OK. Theresia Tompkins, Grayson OK, Hollis (Artis) Tompkins, Carolyn (Charlie) Phipps, Thelma Tompkins all of Tulsa, OK, Velma Tompkins, Marcus Tompkins, Grayson, OK.

Thelma leaves to cherish her memories siblings; Earl Crisp, Grayson, OK, Louise White, California, Daniella Taylor, Texas, Tommie (Barbara) Crisp, Wichita, KS, and Robert (Ruby) Fox, Grayson , OK, 15 siblings preceded her in death.

She has 20 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 29 great-great-grandchildren which results in 5 generations. She leaves a host of nieces and nephews as well.

A Home Going Celebration, will be conducted, Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 11 a.m. in St. Matthew Baptist Church 1001 E. Chicago St., Okmulgee, OK. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart cemetery, Grayson, OK.

Visitation, Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 6 p.m. in the Precious Memories Chapel of House of Winn Funeral Home.

The family has been cared for by House of Winn-Okmulgee.
