Sherman W. Woodworth, 69

Born Friday, January 27, 1950

Died Tuesday, September 24, 2019

Sherman Woodworth, the son of Eddie and Bertha Woodworth, was born on January 27th, 1950 in Muskogee Oklahoma and departed this life on September 24th, 2019 at the age of 69. Sherman being the lifelong “Okie” that he was went into the family business as a concrete finisher after high school. He married the love of his life, Deanna Nail, on July 21st, 1977. Their union was blessed with one daughter in 1978 and twin sons in 1982.
Sherman retired from Whitlock Packaging. After retirement, Sherman enjoyed watching his grandkids and watching old western shows, The Price Is Right, boxing, Nascar, and Little House On The Prairie. You could guarantee he’d be watching the Barret Jackson Auction if it was on.
Sherman enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, looking at and working on cars, and of course, bingo and the casino. You could always count on Sherman for a good “Dad Joke” and he would always let you know where to find the good deals around town.
He will be missed dearly.
Sherman is survived by his wife, Deanna Woodworth of Muskogee; daughter, Melissa and son-in-law, Adam Brown of Broken Arrow; son, Mike Woodworth of Muskogee; grandsons, Colton and Clayton Woodworth; son, Mitch Woodworth and daughter-in- law, Terri; grandchildren, Cooper, Payton, Woodworth; brother, Virgil Woodworth and wife Sandy of Muskogee; sister, Delores Prescott and husband Johnny of Tulsa; along with several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services celebrating Sherman’s life will be 2PM, Friday, September 27, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Fowler officiating. Interment will follow at Agnew Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Woodworth, Mike Nicoloff, Charles Prescott, Johnny Prescott, Matt Davis, and Daniel Woodworth. Honorary pallbearers will be his sons, Mitch and Mike Woodworth, grandsons, Colton, Clayton and Cooper Woodworth.
