Sharon Elaine Lackey, 65, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 with her loving family at her side. She was born February 16, 1956 in Olney, Illinois to James “Jim” Arthur and Naomi June “Pat” (Henderson) Wilkerson.
Sharon moved with her family to Muskogee where she attended Tony Goetz Elementary and Alice Robertson Jr. High. She graduated from Muskogee High School with the class of 1974.
Sharon married her best friend, William Alan Lackey on August 10, 1974 at the First Baptist church in Muskogee. They shared more than 46 years of life, marriage, and making memories together.
She loved taking trips to the mountains with her family, Sunday drives with her husband, adventures with her girlfriends, and spending time with her family, especially her grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Pat Wilkerson; father-in-law, William Earl Lackey; sister-in-law, Jeri Hayes; and nephew, Quin Hayes.
She is survived by her husband, William Alan Lackey; daughters, Laura Lackey Ciampa and husband Eric of Islamorada, FL and Leigh Ellen Combs and husband Douglas of Muskogee, OK; grandsons, Jacob Combs, Will Ciampa, and Eli Combs; bonus grandchildren, Kenny Cooper and Molly Cooper; sister, Karen Dallis and husband Randy of Muskogee, OK; brother-in-law, David Lackey and family of Stigler, OK; nieces, Crystal Dallis, Samantha Dallis, and Mairi Lackey; mother-in-law, Ocie Lackey of Stigler, OK; and numerous other family members and friends.
A celebration of Sharon’s life will be 10am, Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Hayes officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Beth Ainsworth Croman, Nan Richison Haynes, Patti Tudor Ford, Thea Langdon Speer, Lisa Bass Adamson, Pam Ulrich Swartz, Shelly Bacon Depriest, Joy Tye Anderson, and Janet Garrett Oman, Class of ’74 girlfriends as listed above.
