Russell Eugene Beason, 72

Died Wednesday, January 29, 2020

Russell Eugene Beason, 72, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2020. He was born on July 24, 1947 to Donald and Carolyn (State) Beason in Grinnell, Iowa. Russell graduated from Harrison High School in Evansville, Indiana with the class of 1965. He then attended The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. Russell served in the United States Marines during Vietnam as a Lance Corporal and received an honorable discharge.
Russell was a construction superintendent for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, scuba diving and architecture. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed tinkering in his garage. Russell loved learning new things and sharing them with his family.
Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Carolyn Beason; and sister, Donna Beason.
He is survived by his daughter, M. Delaney Cavallo; granddaughter, Lyra Beason both of Muskogee, OK; sisters, Catherine Beason and husband David Walker of New York, NY, Laura Beason and husband Ed Goedeken of Ames, IA, and Dot Beason and husband Steve McCann of Pella, IA; nieces, Margaret McCann of Des Moines, IA, and Carolyn Goedeken of Ames, IA; nephew, Andrew Goedeken of Kansas City, MO; and many other family members and friends.

A celebration of Russell’s life will be 10AM, Monday February 3, 2020 at Cornerstone Funeral Home.
