Ruby Joyce Scott, 81

Born Wednesday, March 31, 1937

Died Saturday, November 24, 2018

Ruby “Joyce” (Kilpatrick) Scott was born March 31, 1937 to Jeff and Francis Kilpatrick of Keefeton, Oklahoma. She graduated valedictorian of Warner High School and married the love of her life, Donald “Nub” Scott soon thereafter in Muskogee. They were blessed with two children, Reginald Gene and Kathy Dawn.
Children loved Joyce and she loved them. She was a natural at babysitting and taught a 5-year-old Sunday School Class for over thirty years at Keefeton Assembly of God, where she was a life-time member. She hosted large family Sunday dinners with ease and loved to serve behind the scenes. Her crocheted afghans were treasured by all who received them, and she also enjoyed sewing, gardening, and reading. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Most importantly, she was a prayer warrior whose faith was an inspiration to all who knew her. Joyce was truly the Proverbs 31 woman.
Joyce received her eternal home and crown on November 24, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Howard Kilpatrick, and sisters Kewpie Wilson, Nola McDaniel, and LaVina Jo Climer.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donald “Nub” Scott; her son, Dr. Reggie Scott (and wife Kathy) of Tulsa; her daughter, Kathy Warren (and husband Tony) of Muskogee; along with her grandchildren Codi (Warren) Heinzeroth (and husband Joel, with their children Emma and Rhett) of Snyder, Scott Warren (and wife Leslie, with their children Evelyn, Zane, and Ryker) of Ft. Gibson, Regina Scott of Tulsa; brothers , Jeff Kilpatrick, Jr. of Sapulpa, Jim Kilpatrick of Keefeton, Bill Kilpatrick of Sapulpa; sisters, Susie Maynard of Connecticut, Jennie Louise Morgan of Elm Grove, Judy Rector of Gore, Jane Price of Keefeton, and Mary Love of Little Rock, Arkansas; special caretaker and friend, Dorothy Moore; along with other family members and friends who will cherish her memories.
The family would like to extend a special “Thank you” to the loving staff of Eastgate Village Healthcare Center and Hometown Hospice.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN, 38105 or online at www.stjude.org. or Keefeton Assembly of God Church.

Interment will follow at Agnew Cemetery with Scott Warren, Joel Heinzeroth, Curt Price, Kelly Kilpatrick, Riley Kilpatrick, and Clayton Kilpatrick serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jud Scott, Jeffrey McDaniel, Kevin Kilpatrick, Kerry Kilpatrick, Trapper McDaniel, and Jason Edgar.
