Roy Ellis Jimerson III, 35

Died Wednesday, June 17, 2020

Roy Ellis Jimerson III was born on February 8, 1985 at Muskogee Regional Hospital to Roy E. Jimerson Jr. and Michelle Harper Jimerson. He accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior at the age of 7 at St. Mark’s Baptist Church in Muskogee, OK. He attended Department of Defense schools in Texas, Washington, and Heidelberg Germany. After high school he enlisted in the U. S. Navy. His Navy recruiter informed his parents that Roy had the highest test score he had ever seen. Roy served as Aerographers Mate, Petty Officer, and AG3. He was an Aerographer Mate, Weather Forecaster, Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, and Meteorologist. His overseas duty stations were South Korea, Haiti, Italy and Victoria Seychelles. He served aboard the USS Nassau (LHA4)/Operation Unified Response. Roy was honorably discharged from the Navy and went on to attend Colorado Technical University in Colorado before moving to Washington state where he passed away on March 22, 2020 in Seattle.

He leaves to celebrate his life his parents, his sister Neah Harper and his grandmothers Nadine Harper and Mari Harper-Finney. Roy was deeply loved by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Inurnment will be at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Friday, July 10, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. Military Honors provided by U.S. Navy.
