Nicholas Edward Bowers, 63

Born Sunday, August 26, 1956

Died Monday, October 28, 2019

Nicholas Edward Bowers, 63, of Muskogee, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 28, 2019. He was born on August 26, 1956 to Philip and Norma Faye Bowers in Clarksville, Tennessee. Nick began primary school in Clarksville, Tennessee. After moving with his family to OK, he would continue his education in Muskogee graduating with the class of 1974. He married his high school crush and love of his life, Cathy Dickmann, in November of 1975.
Nick began his work career as a night watchman at Bebb’s Flowers greenhouse in 1972-1974. He then worked construction at the OG&E plant as a laborer with H.B. Zachary Construction Co. from 1974-1980. He later moved to Houston, TX and would become a lath contractor in 1980. Nick retired in 2002. He moved back to TN for a few years after retirement. He returned to Muskogee in 2013, enjoying his retirement with old friends, watching his many sports channels and old westerns.
Nick was born with a smile on his face and never met a stranger. Nick could bring joy and humor, even in a dim situation. His laugh was infectious. He excelled in whatever he attempted. He was top at any sport he played. He could pick up any musical instrument and soon play like he’d played it forever. Nick was a great auto mechanic, spending hours and hours keeping his vehicles in top condition. After moving to Houston, he continued in the construction field where he began and quickly became an advanced lath hanger for over 20 years. He loved his family very much and adored his children and grandchildren. Nick had a lifelong affiliation with the Church of Christ. He loved life and he loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Nick was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Bowers and Faye Crotzer; brothers, Danny McDaniel and Philip Bowers II.
He is survived by his sons, Nicholas Eugene Bowers and wife Bonnie of Clarksville, TN, Anthony Eberhardt and wife Cassandra of Houston, TX, and Philip Bowers and wife Heather of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Stella, Sarah and Sally Bowers of Clarksville, TN, Ethan and Logan Eberhardt of Houston, TX, Sharon, Shawna and Hoke of Houston, TX; sister, Lisa Mosteller and husband Louie of Ft. Gibson, OK; brother, Chris Carlson; nieces, Autumn Mosteller of Ft. Gibson, OK, Jennifer Stamile and husband Zach of Flagstaff, AZ, Jessica Burma and husband Max of Claremore, OK, and Jacki Johnson and husband Ryan of Ft. Gibson, OK; step-father, Charles McDaniel of Ft. Gibson, OK; and many other family members and friends.
A private family service will be on November 7, 2019.
