Max Edward Beshears passed away Friday, May 6, 2022 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years. He was born May 25, 1953 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Henry and Irene Beshears.
Max married Joyce (Joy) Campbell in Muskogee, Oklahoma on September 26, 1987. Max and Joy faithfully attended Greater Dimensions in Gore, Oklahoma until Max fell ill in September, 2020. Max enjoyed playing all kinds of stringed instruments and mentoring young and old alike in his love for music. He also loved fishing and was a great cook, but his greatest accomplishment was spoiling Joy.
Max was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Irene Beshears and his beloved sister, Judith G. McKinney.
Max is survived by his wife, Joy of the home; children, Terri Guthrie and husband Mark of Wainwright, OK, Randy Campbell and wife Christina of Ft. Gibson, OK, Brad Campbell and wife Shelly of Muskogee, OK, and Michael Beshears of Lake Charles, LA; brother, Clayburn Beshears and wife Regeana of Clayton, OK; sister, Carol Cook and husband Oscar of Broken Arrow, OK. Max (also known as Poppy) was very proud of his 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family will greet friends from 5-8PM, Monday, May 9, 2022 at Cornerstone Funeral Home.
Max’s life will be celebrated at 2PM, Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner. Pallbearers will be Mark Guthrie, Austin Madewell, Grant Howell, Cory Watson, Erik Howell, Dillon Webb, Bradley Campbell and Dalton Tholl.
