Matthew Robert Elliott, 34

Born Thursday, October 18, 1984

Died Thursday, January 17, 2019

Matthew Robert Elliott, age 34, passed from this earthly life on Thursday, January 17, 2019. Matt was an intelligent, handsome kid with a great sense of humor. He was blessed with the gifts of leadership and athleticism. He loved music, sports (especially baseball), and any living creature. He truly delighted in God’s creation, constantly taking notice of an interesting insect or a lost cat. He loved playing video games and had friends across the globe with whom he interacted regularly. While he may have struggled heavily with his own sadness, bright glimpses of his tender heart would regularly make an appearance. He cared deeply for his niece and nephews, and would often help out those less fortunate. Matt was born Thursday, October 18, 1984, in Houston, Texas, to parents Glen and Robin Elliott, the oldest of three siblings. He is survived by both Glen and Robin, brother Kristopher Elliott of Tulsa, sister Rachel Archer and husband Colton of Fort Gibson, nephews Carter and Jonathan Archer, and niece Juliet Archer. Surviving grandparents are Linda and Jerry Greenwood of Oklahoma City, Shirley Elliott of Tahlequah, and Joe and Bonnie Riddle of Okeechobee, Florida. Matt is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Matt is preceded in death by grandparents Jack and Helen Day of Pawnee, and Donald Elliott of Concord, California. Matthew will be greatly missed by many. Godspeed my son, you are finally free. A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Fort Gibson Church of Christ with Ministers Steve Parker and Dan Rouse officiating. In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made in Matthew's name to Fixem Inc. PO Box 158 Fort Gibson, OK 74434, 918-869-1463 or to Fur Babies Adoption & Rescue PO Box 3883 Muskogee, OK 74402.
