Mary Alliene (Taylor) Stanley, 75, of Tahlequah, was born at home on May 21, 1946 in Cherokee County to Leonard and Mary Taylor and peacefully passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021 at her sons-in-law’s home in Braggs.
She was loved by many and loved all people. Mary loved to talk to people about God. She loved spending time with family and friends. Her eyes would light up every time she was with her great grandkids. Mary greatly enjoyed spending time with her sister, Pauline and brother-in-law Don, especially when they would go on trips and out to eat together.
The Stanley family would like to give a very special thank you to Mary’s niece, Linda Milton, for her loving care and staying by her aunt’s side. We would also like to thank everyone at Hometown Hospice for taking wonderful care of our precious Momma/Granny.
Those left to cherish Mary’s memories are her children; daughter, Linetta Seabolt and husband Mike of Tahlequah; son, Richard Stanley of Webbers Falls; son-in-law, Eric Hutchins of Braggs; sister, Pauline Summerlin and husband Don of Fort Gibson, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Mary Taylor; daughter, Jackie Hutchins; brother’s, Leo Taylor, Jess Taylor, Albert Taylor, Bill Taylor, Tommy Taylor and Major Langston; and sister, Lois Phillips.
A visitation will be Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson.
A Celebration of Mary’s life will be held 11:00AM Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Greenleaf Cemetery in Tahlequah with Joyce McFarland officiating. Joseph Seabolt, Brian Seabolt, Stevens Hutchins, David Hutchins and John Ashwood III are honorary casket bearers.
