Died Monday, July 27, 2020

Mark Anthony Park, Checotah resident, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020 in Muskogee, OK at the age of 60. He was born on Saturday, April 9, 1960 to Bob and Pat Robison Park in Wagoner, OK. He attended Checotah Public Schools graduating in 1978. Mark attended Connors State College for one year. He married Donnita Visor in July 1982 and to this union 3 children were born. Mark went to work for Rural Electric Cooperative and then went to work surveying which he did for over 20 years. He liked to hunt and fish, but mainly loved to spend time with his grandchildren. They lovingly called him LaLa. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Bob Park and his sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Mark Durrett. He is lovingly survived by his daughter, Tara Park of Eufaula, his son Derek Park, his daughter, Lacey Park, and his mother, Pat Park all of Checotah; his grandchildren, Tierra Lane, Kash Lane, Kolton Park, Callen Park, Kalen Park, Markaya Breshears, J.J. Breshears, and Mia Koda Wright. Mark is also survived by his Ex-wife, Donnita Park; his nephew, Chase Durrett and his wife Tanya, and his niece, Skylar Davis and her husband Kyle as well as many, many family and friends.
Viewing will be from 9AM-4PM on Thursday, July 30, 2020 with his family greeting friends from 4-6PM on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Garrett Family Funeral Home. A service celebrating the life of Mark will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, July 31, 2020 at First Freewill Baptist Church Family Life Center in Checotah with Reverend D. Mark Shores officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery under the personal direction of John Garrett. Jason McQuay, Jimmy Cox, James Orr, George Park, Robert Park, and Jerry Farmer will serve as Casket Bearers.
