Marion Kelley was born in Gillette, WY and came to Muskogee, OK at nine months of age. She attended Muskogee Public Schools and graduated from Muskogee Central High School in 1965. She graduated from Bacone College and Northeastern State University and received her master's degree in Education from Northeastern as well. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond “Ray” Perkins and Le Etta Perkins.
She was married to and preceded in death by Quinton Ozell Ross Jr., who was also a lifelong Muskogee resident. Marion and Quinton had two children, Quinton Ozell Ross III and Mysti Dawn Ross-Kelley. Quinton and Marion, Mysti and “Trae”, and their whole family, including Snowball, happily traveled the US and into Canada together until Quinton’s untimely death.
Marion met Johnnie Kelley in 2005 and they married in 2006, giving them almost 16 rewarding and happy years together. They, along with Mysti, lived happily and traveled many places together, including many trips to Disneyworld in Orlando, FL, Disneyland in Anaheim, CA, South Padre Island, TX, Gillette, WY and many places in between, whether by RV or auto.
Marion is survived by her husband, Johnnie; daughter, Mysti, both of the home; brothers, Wayne Perkins of Muskogee and Joe Perkins of Muskogee; her son, Quinton Ross III and his wife Susan of Muskogee; son, Christopher Kelley and his wife Darlene of Palm Springs, CA; and daughter, Petra Mehen and husband Patrick of Garland, TX; six grandchildren, Stefani Ross-Nunez and her husband Robby of Pryor, OK, Jackson Ross-Cox and Gracelyn Ross-Cox of Broken Arrow, OK, Maddie Clark and James Byron Clark both of Muskogee, and Elanor Mehen of Garland, TX. Marion had a host of cousins, “sisters”, nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews who loved her and appreciated her for what she was.
