Lois Jean “Skace” Lee, 68

Died Thursday, October 31, 2019

Lois Jean Maxwell “Lee,”, nicknamed, Skace, was born on October 4, 1951, the oldest daughter of Booker T. Maxwell, Sr. and Daisy Mae Maxwell in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Lois accepted Christ at an early age under the guidance of Reverend Martin of Taft, Oklahoma. She grew up in Muskogee, Oklahoma, where she attended Muskogee Public Schools. She met Henry Daniel Crisp and from this union, one child was born and she was named Theresa Lynn Maxwell. Later, she met the love of her life, Leonard Levell Chaplin, and they were married February 9, 1979 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and from their union, 3 children were born; Leonard, Jr., Linda Kay, and Kizzy Annette.

She lived and enjoyed her life. She liked playing cards, dancing, and going to the Casino. Lois was skilled in cooking and that’s what she enjoyed doing in life. She worked as a cook at the old McIntosh Nursing Home, Tower Hill Nursing Home, and retired from Muskogee Nursing Center in 2006.

After a short illness, Lois was called to rest by the Heavenly father on October 31, 2019 at 3:00 p.m., surrounded by her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her father, Booker T. , her mother Daisy Mae, her sister, Dois, her husband, Leonard, Sr., her Grandfather,
David Spencer, her Grandmother, Sedalia, along with other family members that went on before her.

She leaves to cherish her memories 3 daughters Therasa (Kingsley) of Dallas Texas, Linda Kay (Joe Ray) Muskogee, Oklahoma, Kizzy (Calvin, Lewis, Jr.) Muskogee, Oklahoma, one son Leonard, Jr., of Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Five brothers, Booker, Jr., Donald, Eugene (Debbie), Edward, James and five sisters, Christine (Larry), Joyce (Glenn), Marie, Lachella (William), and Mary Ann, 13 Grandchildren, and 3 Great grand, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends

The final hour with "Skace" will commence on Saturday, Novembe 9, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Reverend Rooshawn Pratt is the gracious host Pastor, and Reverend Anthony Gaines, Pastor of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Porter, Oklahoma, will deliver the Eulogy.
