Lois Ann Allen, 84

Born Monday, April 22, 1935

Died Monday, February 3, 2020

Lois Ann Allen (Siegenthaler) was called home Monday, February 3, 2020 in Muskogee, OK. She was born to Irvin and Florence Siegenthaler (White) at the family farm near Wainwright, OK, on Easter Sunday, April 22, 1935. She attended school in Wainwright and graduated in 1953. In the fall of 1952 she met the love of her life, Joel (Joe) R. Allen Sr. However, they didn’t have their first date until the spring of 1953. Later that year, they were married at the First Baptist Church in Boyton, OK, on October 17, 1953.

Joe and Lois called Muskogee home for the past 64 years where they raised their family. Lois worked numerous jobs throughout her life but retired from Hilldale Public Schools after dedicating 27 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers and a sister, as well as granddaughter, Devon Sizemore.

She is survived by two sons, Joel (Jody) R. Allen and wife Theresa of Wagoner, Timothy Allen and wife Jessie of Broken Arrow; one daughter, Anitra Sizemore and husband Steve of Checotah; ten grandchildren; Shawn Crawford and wife Sarah of Vian, Damon Allen and wife Cristi of Muskogee, Josh Allen of Muskogee, Brianna Navarro and husband Francisco of Oklahoma City, Erin, Carter and Caleb Sizemore of Checotah, Emery Vercruyssen and husband Zach of Tulsa, Aubrey and Samuel Allen of Broken Arrow; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, February 11th at Cornerstone Funeral Home of Muskogee. Graveside services will be held at the National Cemetery in Fort Gibson at 12:00pm.

Forever a loving mother to her children, aunt to countless nieces and nephews, and “Mamaw” to all.
