Linda Carol Taylor, 77, of Fort Gibson, was born January 4, 1945, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Earl C. and Ethel M. (Schulte) Bullard and peacefully passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her loving family at her bedside. She received her formal education both at Bacone College with an Associate's Degree and then obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Linda married the love of her life, Gerald Lee Taylor, on August 5, 1966, in Fort Gibson and they were happily married for 55 years. She passed one day before their 56th-year wedding anniversary. Linda resided in Muskogee from childhood until marrying Gerald. She worked as a medical transcriptionist at the Muskogee County Health Department. Then they moved to Shawnee, Edmond, and Midwest City, OK, where she worked as a secretary at Oklahoma Baptist University. Eventually moving back to Muskogee in 1974 until 1985, where they settled in Fort Gibson until her passing.
She was a homemaker who also had an online book business. Her favorite role in life, though, was being a Mom and Grandma. She absolutely loved spoiling her grandkids. Linda also enjoyed OU Football, shopping, going to Church & church activities, praying, reading the Bible, following Braden’s baseball games and Ben’s artwork, and live music shows. She was a faithful member of Park Hill Baptist Church and an Auxiliary Member of Gideons International. Linda will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all that knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Gracie Bullard; brothers, Donald, Harold, Gene and Johnny Bullard; and sister, JoAnn Scott; extended family and many friends. Those left to cherish Linda’s memory are her husband, Gerald of the home; son, Jon Taylor and wife Rhonda, and grandson, Braden, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; daughters, Gina Davis and husband Greg, and grandson, Ben, of McKinney, Texas and Sara Parkes and husband Mathew of Fort Gibson; and sister, Jane Horn of Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Linda’s Celebration of Life will be held 12:30PM Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Park Hill Baptist Church in Park Hill, Oklahoma with retired Pastor John Lee officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at 2:30PM in Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Braden Taylor, Gary Bullard, Mike Bullard, Alan Smith, Dave Smith, serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers are Ben Davis, Jerry Pease, Kendall Bullard, Clint Bullard, and Jeff Smith.

If unable to attend in person, her service will be livestreamed on the church's youtube channel - churchatparkhill and on the church's website under "latest sermon." It will still be available to watch even after the livestream.
