Leslie Brooke (Owen) Bunch, 40, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Friday, May 31, 2019. She was born on July 14, 1978 in Muskogee to Paul L. and Sharon Sue (Jenkins) Owen. Leslie attended Hilldale School until the 11th grade and then she transferred to Muskogee High School graduating in 1996. During high school, she participated in Drama and Indian Art. She won an art show at the Five Civilized Tribes Museum; an accomplishment she was extremely proud of.
Leslie worked at Lowe’s for several years but most recently as support personnel for Muskogee Public Schools until her health began to fail.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Jenkins Jr.; and her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer E. Owen.
Leslie is survived by her husband, Robie Bunch; daughters, Aiyana Reynolds and Addison Reynolds; parents, Paul and Sharon Owen, all of Muskogee; siblings, Ben Blakeman and wife Mary, Casey Stewart and husband Craig; nephews, Asher Stewart and Schaffer Stewart; cousins, Justine Thompson (Tom), Stuart Thompson, Justin Thompson, Sarah Turner (John), Matt Turner, Emily Colburn (Tad) and their children, Charlie and Maggie, Jane DeGroot, Lee DeGroot (Sharon) and their children, Alisha DeGroot and Josh DeGroot; along with many friends.
Leslie was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services celebrating Leslie’s life will be 11AM, Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eric Goodman officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with Alphus Raper, Herschel Vann, Robert Fletcher, Craig Stewart, Sean Tiger, and Benji Hotema serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bud Fletcher, Robert Bunch, Leroy Vann, and Ben Blakeman. McKenzie Doyle and Kadence Vann will be serving as flower girls.
