Kirby Chester-Ralph Chapman, 62, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021. He was born December 17, 1958 in Brockton, Massachusetts to Arch and Era Louise (Barney) Chapman. He attended public schools in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he graduated from Homestead Junior - Senior High School. He was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed his tenure as an Assistant Scout Leader while living in Fort Wayne.
Kirby enjoyed playing golf, tennis, racquet ball and cards. His was an over-the-road truck driver driving 30 years, with over 5 million miles accident-free. He also worked in the computer industry, installing networks and point of sale systems.
Kirby was a people person; one who never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Chapman and his life partner, Gail Wildoner.
Kirby is survived by his father, Arch Chapman, sisters, Kay Louise Chapman and Kimber Rose Chapman; niece, Kathryn (Ben) Heeren; nephews, Justin (Sheena) Hinga, Joseph "JJ" (Leyla) Claypool; 5 great-nephews; 1 great-niece; and his special friend and guardian angel, Thelma Roberts; plus the many friends he made family throughout his life.
Kirby’s celebration of life is at 11AM, Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Mayor Marlon Coleman officiating.
