Kathryn Louise Melton, 73, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on September 15, 2019. She was born on December 27, 1945 to Archie Wesley Melton and Sylvia Vilas (Watts) Melton. Kathy graduated from Okmulgee High School. She also attended Okmulgee Tech and Notre Dame University.
Kathy worked at Notre Dame University as a custodian for many years. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie Wesley Melton and Sylvia Vilas Melton; and brother, Wesley Albert Melton.
Kathy is survived by her son, David Joseph Fouts; siblings, Melvin Dewayne Melton and wife Cathy, Larry K. Melton, Lonnie D. Melton and wife Tammy, Melinda N. Macias and husband Robert, and Shirley A. Jackson and husband Brian; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
A celebration of Kathy’s life will be 2PM, Friday, September 20, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow at Middleton Chapel Cemetery with Wayne Melton, Lonnie Melton, Tim Melton, Michael Richardson, Lee Lewis and Bryan Arnold serving as pallbearers.
