Johnny Dean Hennington, 69, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020. He was born October 11, 1950 in Garberville, California to Walter and Georgia Hennington. He grew up in Hartshorne and attended Haileyville Public School.
Johnny proudly became a member of the United States Marine Corp on March 23, 1972. He served during the Vietnam War and received an honorable discharge on March 22, 1976.
Johnny was a truck driver for many years and retired in 1998. During his free time, he enjoyed riding broncs, watching “PBR” and westerns.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Hennington; parents, Walter and Georgia Hennington; brother, Bill Hennington; sisters, Debbie Tollett and Kay Hennington.
Johnny is survived by his daughter, Tanya Spears and husband Clint, son, John Hennington, all of Hartshorne, OK, daughter, Georgia Currens of Shady Point, OK; grandchildren, Dakota Wright and wife Hailey of Muskogee, OK, Blaine Adams of Dewey, OK, Hailey Hennington of McAlester, OK, Lane Crouch and Rowdy Campbell of Shady Point, OK; great-grandchildren, Skylar Wright, Easton Adams, Colt Adams, Kami Adams, Blakely Adams, and Aryah Scott; along with other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A graveside service celebrating Johnny’s life will be 12PM, Friday, September 18, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery in Apache, Oklahoma with Mr. Tyler McGuire officiating. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Dakota Wright and Blaine Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be his great-grandchildren, Skylar Wright, Kami Adams, Easton Adams, and Colt Adams.
