Joan Williams, 85, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020. She was born on July 8, 1934 to James Bennett Steen and Virgie Novella (Henshaw) Steen in Checotah, Oklahoma. She married her high school sweetheart, Bobby Andrew Williams, on May 10, 1952 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. They shared more than 62 years of life and marriage together.
Joan loved taking care of her family and loved them dearly. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Williams; sister, Juanita Allison; and brother-in-law, Sonny Allison.
Joan is survived by her children, Bobby Williams and wife Pat of Fort Gibson, OK, and Vicki Tracy and husband Danny of Muskogee, OK; grandchildren, Jason Clark and wife Marisa of Porter, OK, Bryce Clark and wife Andi of Muskogee, OK, Necia Hutson and husband Mat of McAlester, OK, Kristin Keel of Tahlequah, OK and Brad Tracy and wife Tonya of Owasso, OK; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Olivia, and Isaac Hutson, Hunter, Tanner, and Rylee Keel, Myles and Maxton Clark, Jayci, Easton, and Jett Clark, and Chelsea Cahwee; along with other family members and friends.
A celebration of Joan’s life will be 10AM, Friday January 17, 2020 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gene Thompson officiating. Interment will be at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Jason Cark, Bryce Clark, Mat Hutson, Brad Tracy, David Woods, and Chris Allison serving as pallbearers.
