Jewel Ann Corley, 66, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019. She was born on May 26, 1952 to Curtis Hamilton and Pauline (Stout) Daniels in Corpus Christi, Texas. She married Mark Jay Corley on February 9, 1980, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They shared 39 happy years of life and marriage together. Jewel not only married Mark but also took his son, Kevin, from a young age to help raise him in a loving and stable home, and dearly loved him as her own.
Jewel will always be remembered as an extremely hard and diligent worker in all her jobs, no matter the situation. In her early years, she worked at Corning Glass, Port of Muskogee, UPS, and Anderson Wholesale. She worked for 15 years at Griffins Foods, starting on the product lines and moving in the office as a purchasing agent. Jewel left Griffins to take care of her mother, which was a blessing to all the family in Pauline’s last 2 years to be able to stay in her home. She then worked for Dal-Tile for 7 years before her health caused her to retire. Jewel dearly loved her dog, Milo, and he was such a comfort in her illness. She loved to cook and loved to share pictures of their meals on social media. She loved her family very much and will be forever missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Jewel was preceded in death by her mom, Pauline Daniels; father, Curtis Hamilton; sister, Sandra Hilbern; brother, Buddy Hamilton; brother, David Dale Daniels; mother-in-law, Billie Corley; father-in-law, A. J. Corley; and sister-in-law, Kim Eslick.
