Jessie J. McCoy, 98, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021. He was born March 24, 1923 in Haworth, Oklahoma to James Samuel and Annie Nellie (Waits) McCoy. He graduated from public schools and worked for Southwestern Bell as an equipment installer.
Jessie married Barbara Faye White on July 3, 1995 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. They shared more than 26 years of life, marriage and memories together.
He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during WWII and received an honorable discharge. During his time in the service, he became interested in cooking.
He loved fishing, deer hunting, and spending time outdoors. You could always find him tinkering in his shop.
Jessie also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Annie McCoy; sons, Duane McCoy and Jimmy McCoy.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, James Paul Key and wife Maria; daughter, Dona Keim and husband Kenny; grandchildren, Taylor McOnie and husband Blake, David McCoy and wife Jamie, Tanner Blom and husband Adam, Olivia Key, Jacob Keim and wife Kellie, Nick Keim, Jerry Taylor and husband Kelly, Karl Keim, Maru Key and Hunter Key; along with many great-grandchildren, other extended family members and friends.
