Iris Ann Parker, 86, of Warner, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021. She was born April 17, 1935 in St. Joseph, Missouri to William Wesley and Gladys (Timmons) Coffey.
She married Arch Jr. Parker on April 16, 1974 in Warner, Oklahoma. They shared many years of life, marriage, and memories.
Iris was a long-time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Webbers Falls, OK.
She was a real estate agent, Mary Kay consultant, and the owner of Ma Parker's Ice Cream Shop. She loved to read, travel, and very much loved to talk. She never met a stranger, and would give the shirt off her back to anyone. From singing in night clubs in New York City in her younger years, to obtaining her pilot's license when she got older, Iris lived a very full and exciting life.
Iris will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother (GiGi), sister, and friend. She will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Gladys Coffey; husband, Arch Jr. Parker; siblings, Joe Coffey, Linda Estrada, Judy Weber, Tommy Coffey, Jimmy Coffey, and Billy Coffey; Stepson Kyron Parker.
Iris is survived by her children, Mindy Hendrix and husband Larry of Roland, Michelle Chambers of Muskogee, Mike Courtney of Horn Lake, MS, April Parker of Warner, Duane Parker of Webbers Falls and wife Paula; sister, Nancy Burley and husband Vic of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Casey Newcomer and husband Jason of Warner, Keith Coleman and wife Corey of Piedmont, Zach Hendrix of Roland, Megan Huskey and husband Chris of Melissa, TX, Mallory Carr and husband Keith of Muskogee, Austin Girty of Warner, Brant Parker and wife Becky of Warner, Clint Parker and wife Cindy of Midland, TX, Chance Parker and wife Larissa of Vian; great-grandchildren, Cason Newcomer, Addison Newcomer, Kayle Newcomer, Carson Coleman, Hayes Huskey, Heath Huskey, Hudson Huskey, K.T. Parker, Kyla Parker, Grayson Fells, Chloe Carr and Makayla Carr; great-great grandchildren, Aubren Parker and Blakely Parker; along with numerous nieces and nephews and many friends who were dear to her heart.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to the Webbers Falls Museum at: 103 Commercial Street, Webbers Falls, OK 74470.
A memorial service celebrating Iris’s life will be 1PM, Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with Arch.
