Died Thursday, May 2, 2019

Irene C. Adams, 85, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019. She was born February 12, 1934 in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma to William M. Clay and Eva A. Johnson Clay. She attended Webbers Falls Public Schools.
Irene married Jack E. Adams on June 19, 1954 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They shared many years of life and marriage together.
She loved spending time with her family and being a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, watching western movies, reading, and listening to gospel music. Irene attended Mt. Grove Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Eva Clay; husband, Jack Adams; son, Scotty Adams; siblings, Bob, Sam, Bill Clay, and Wanda Tyson; and her grandson-in-law, Leo Ward.
Irene is survived by her granddaughters, Eva McFadden and husband Levi of Warner, Jacquelyn Wiedel and husband Michael of Muskogee, Leah Ward of Webbers Falls, Rebecca Adams of Muskogee; grandsons, Andrew Adams, Quincy Adams of Muskogee, Charles Adams and wife Brittany of Porum; daughter-in-law, Marylyn Adams of Muskogee; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Don Clay and wife Opal of Warner, Ken Clay and wife Carolyn of Porum, and Martha Naugle and husband Rich of Checotah; along with other family members and friends.
Irene will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A graveside service celebrating Irene’s life will be 2PM, Monday, May 6, 2019 at Agnew Cemetery with Reverend Ken Clay officiating.
